Miramar College Science Building Addition
Located between the main campus green and the Leave a Legacy Plaza, the new landscape spaces for the Miramar Science building create a series of important pedestrian connections on the Miramar Campus. A biopond, geological specimen garden, and native planting demonstration garden work together to create a learning landscape that enhances the existing botany and geology curriculum and feature plants and materials from local regions. Recycled materials such as recycled concrete pavers, crushed brick walkways, and recycled plastic edging in combination with stormwater infiltration, are all site components that contribute to the sustainable learning environment for this LEED Silver project.
