The Entry and Art Exhibition Grounds Improvements for Laguna’s Festival of Arts renews and reimagines historic and cultural relationships to the Canyon and Downtown Core. The entry design creates an attractive linear landscape frontage, buffering art show patrons and promenade users from the heavy traffic of Laguna Canyon Road. A carefully selected palette of sustainable hardscape and planting materials provide visitors with a characteristic yet unique welcome. Functional enhancements to the site include a pedestrian and bicycle promenade with enhanced paving; ADA compliant access to the grounds and ticketing; and, a vehicular drop off zone. The Art Exhibition Grounds consist of new Art Exhibit Terraces and a new public park and Performance Green. The Art Exhibition areas are located in new tensile roof pavilions covering six exhibition terraces. The new Performance Green provides park and performance space for music events, covered by a seasonal shade structure.
